Description
What a circus of color you will have with this Camellia! The Spring Circus Camellia is known to have flowers varying in color from bicolor pink with white borders to stripes and blotches of pink on a white background, to solid pink or white – it almost feels like you’re at the circus and you don’t know what is coming next! Perfect for hedges for a multitude of colors or solitary in landscapes that need some extra flare in the springtime. The rest of the year, it’s beautifully evergreen foliage stays waiting for springtime when the circus comes back to town!Â
Landscape & Garden Uses
Growing to about 8 to 10 feet tall and 5-8 feet wide, the Spring Circus Camellia can be grown as a shrub or small tree. As a shrub she is ideal for use as a specimen, in groupings or as hedge or background plant in landscape borders and is especially nice as a corner plant or espalier (trained to grow flat against a wall) in home foundation plantings. As she grows taller lower branches can be removed to form a highly attractive and colorful small evergreen tree that serves well as a focal point specimen in landscape borders and home foundation plantings. A fine addition to camellia gardens, cottage gardens, cut flower gardens and woodland borders. Also suitable for containers that can be brought indoors during winter by those who garden above USDA Zone 6a, where this camellia variety is not reliably winter hardy. Find Your Zone
Spacing:Â Â 5 feet apart for a solid hedge; 14 feet or more apart for space between plants
Growing Preferences
Camellia adapt well to various soil types however prefer a moist but well-drained acidic soil that is rich in organic matter. Constantly soggy soil is a slow killer. In general, Camellia grows and blooms better in partial shade with some shelter from the hot afternoon sun. Morning sun with afternoon shade or filtered sunlight is perfect. All-day filtered sun is fine.

Shipping is great plants arrived in beautiful condition. Have not planted yet. Will see if they really survive in our z6 weather. They have buds on them so keeping them in my cold sun room to see if they open. One I got earlier in the year is planted outside in on and off again freezing temps and still has buds that open.——————————————–We are so glad you are pleased with your purchase!
