Description
Sure to be a conversation piece in your garden from late spring through early summer, ‘Sir Robert’ is a Robin Hill Hybrid Azalea that produces an abundance of beautiful large white flowers brushed and striped in soft pink, purple and/or peachy-pink with a rose-purple spotted blotch. Occasionally, you might see a solid rose pink flower! Attractive dark green, glossy evergreen leaves on dwarf and rounded form.
Landscape & Garden Uses
Growing in a rounded mound 2 to 3 feet tall and 3 to 4 feet wide at maturity, the Sir Robert Azalea is ideal for use as a specimen in small garden spaces and containers or in groupings, mass plantings or as a border along paths and walkways in landscape and woodland borders and home foundation plantings. A fine addition to Asian-theme gardens, Azalea gardens, cottage gardens, and partially shaded woodland gardens.Â
Suggested Spacing:Â 2.5 to 3 feet apart for solid hedges;Â 6 feet or more apart for space between plants
Note:Â For our customers who live and garden north of USDA Plant Hardiness Zone 6a, where this Azalea variety is not reliably winter hardy outdoors, you can enjoy it in containers that can be moved indoors during winter and placed back outside when temperatures warm up in spring.

Growing Preferences
Evergreen Azaleas are easy to grow when planted right and in the right spot. They prefer a moist but well-drained and acidic soil that is rich in organic matter and part sun. Morning sun with afternoon shade or filtered sun is ideal. Moderate drought tolerance when established.Â

I’ve had numerous orders from Wilson Bros and every time the plants arrive well packed and protected. They are always of high quality.
