I planted 3 Autumn Twist azaleas 3 months ago and then last week decided that I needed another one to make the garden look more balanced. My azalea arrived quickly, in perfect condition and to my surprise, it was the same size as the ones that had been in the ground for 3 months! It is healthy and tall and looks like it was planted at the same time as the other azaleas. Excellent product and service. This and all items I have ordered from Wilson Brothers have arrived reasonably promptly and in excellent condition. All such items have genuinely been container grown plants that have obviously be well cared for, well propagated, and well developed. I am reluctant to buy plants online because often the plants are not in good condition and, all too often, not really container grown. They are really field grown plants that have been dug up, had their roots hacked off, and shoved in a pot for mailing. I’ve never seen plants packed so well for shipment. We all know how carriers don’t care which way the arrow is written on the box, they do what they want. These azaleas were packed perfectly in their boxes., which tells me they come from a quality nursery that cares about each and every plant. It took me more than a week to finally get them in the ground, but I already have blooming flowers. Sometimes the bloom colors are different according to fertilization and those have been in pots, give them some Azalea Food according to directions and once they get more established they will more than likely be more purple. 🙂

Plant arrived in excellent condition and looks like it’s ready to bloom.

I could not find any Encore Azaleas for sale anywhere near where I live – so I went online and found this one for sale by Wilson Bros Gardens. Before ordering, I called them for more information about these bushes – and asked if it will survive in the climate where I live – Southwest Pennsylvania. I was told that since we have very cold winters, I will need to protect it during the winter months – at least for the first few years until it is well established. The Encore Azalea arrived at my house in absolutely perfect condition – unbelievable! I planted it as directed – and it looks gorgeous. Thank you so much!
